Kristen Nicole Dodderer

Kristen Nicole Vaughan became the bride of Derek James Dodderer at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Arkansas Arts Center. Daniel Dodson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Peggy and Alan Vaughan of Bryant. Her grandparents are Janice Glover of Piggott, Mary Beth and Gerald Vaughan of Sherwood and Rita and Joel Bradford of Little Rock.

Parents of the groom are Clayla Hicks of Cabot and Cynthia and Arnold Dodderer of Lafayette Hill, Pa. His grandparents are the late Mary and Bill Payne of Pleasant Plains and the late Marty Mack of Crossett.

Urns with white curly willow stems provided the backdrop for the ceremony, which took place in the atrium.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin A-line gown. Crystal beading embellished the waistline of the strapless bodice and the skirt extended to a cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, roses and peonies.

Maid of honor was Anna Boone of Jonesboro. Bridesmaids were Kristen Garcia of Cabot, sister of the groom; Leah Vaughan and Kayce Trantham, both of Benton and cousins of the bride; Julie Primm of El Dorado; and Sarah Schroeder of Goodyear, Ariz. They wore navy chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of white hydrangeas.

Flower girl was Isabella Garcia of Cabot, niece of the groom, and ring bearer was Bryce Vaughan of Benton, cousin of the bride.

Serving as best man was Scott Rayburn of Conway. Groomsmen were Jared Hicks of Benton, brother of the groom; Neely Norwood of Bearden; John Jackson of Crossett, cousin of the groom; and Jared Vaughan of Benton, brother of the bride.

The buffet at a reception, also at the Arts Center, held an arrangement of white gladiolas, roses, snapdragons and lilies. Guest tables were centered with mercury glass vases filled with light blue and white hydrangeas.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation science from Arkansas Tech University at Russellville, and bachelor's and master's degrees in occupational therapy from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She is an occupational therapist at Easter Seals Arkansas in the Children's Rehabilitation Center.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Arkansas Tech and will begin law school at the University of Arkansas William H. Bowen School of Law in August.

After a honeymoon in Pensacola Beach, Fla., the couple will reside in Little Rock.
