Man opens fire after vehicle collision in Little Rock park

A 23-year-old North Little Rock man was shot at and then chased after he collided with a Mercedes in a Little Rock park Sunday night, authorities said.

No arrests have been made, and the two suspects — the driver of the Mercedes and the passenger gunman — have not been identified.

The victim told investigators he was in Murray Park in Little Rock shortly before 7 p.m. when a Mercedes pulled in front of him and his 2007 Dodge Charger hit its rear, according to a police report.

The passenger in the Mercedes then pulled out a gun and fired seven or eight shots toward the Charger, the report said, noting the victim "drove as fast as he could and was able to get away." Police met him at the Waffle House at 2500 Cantrell Road.

Two witnesses reported seeing the suspect vehicle chasing the Charger and the passenger firing multiple shots, the report added.

Authorities searched the area but did not find the Mercedes.

No one was injured, but the victim reportedly found at least one bullet hole in his car.
