MONROE, La. — The police chief in West Monroe says it appears a 26-year-old woman killed her two young daughters before taking her own life.
The News Star reports that police received a call about an unresponsive person at an apartment Saturday. When they arrived, they found the bodies of Katelin Dulaney and her daughters, 4-year-old Adeleen Forbis and 3-year-old Laila Forbis.
Chief Jeff Terrell says that from initial findings, it appears Dulaney "took the lives of her two children and then took her own."
Terrell says the bodies have been sent to Little Rock, Arkansas, for autopsies.
Neighbor Kimberly Walters says her children played with Adeleen and Laila. Walters describes Dulaney as "content," saying she kept to herself but always watched her children closely.
