RUSSELLVILLE -- Two people in Pope County are dead after what police said was a murder-suicide.
Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall said officers received a 911 call at 8:03 p.m. Friday for a home on Cagelsville Lane off of Arkansas 124 near Russellville. Police arrived at the home at 8:16 p.m., finding Donna Lott, 44, dead. Her husband, Jimmy Lott, 46, killed himself when officers arrived at the house, Duvall said.
He said officers from the Pope County sheriff's office and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the situation as a murder-suicide and further information was not available late Saturday.
