A reward is being offered for anyone with information connected to the death of James L. Green, who was shot May 18 at the Linden Street apartments in Pine Bluff.

Green, 56, of Pine Bluff was shot outside his daughter's apartment by an unknown man, police said.

The man entered Green's daughter's apartment and demanded money and cigarettes from her, before hitting her in the head with a pistol, Pine Bluff police said.

Green arrived at the apartment and confronted the man, who then chased Green out of the apartment and into a parking lot, where the man opened fire on Green. The man then ran south from the apartments, police said.

Green was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he died shortly after.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pine Bluff Police detective office at (870) 730-2090 or the dispatch center at (870) 541-5300.
