Local contestants to compete for Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen

RUSSELLVILLE — Several young women with ties to the River Valley & Ozark Edition coverage area will compete in the 10th annual Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen pageant Wednesday through Saturday at The Center for the Arts, 2209 S. Knoxville Ave. in Russellville.

The preliminary competition will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the winner to be announced during Saturday’s event, which also starts at 7.

Local contestants include the following:

• Miss Central Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen, Patricia Lambe of Conway, the 15-year-old daughter of John and Molly Lambe, will perform a lyrical dance for her talent, and her platform is “First-Aid Able: Be Ready to Save a Life.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, evening wear/active wear on Thursday and talent on Friday.

• Miss Conway Outstanding Teen, Madeline Brindley of Conway, the 17-year-old daughter of Melanie Brindley and the late Kenyon D. Brindley, will present a tap dance for her talent, and her platform is “Safe Splash: Water Safety and Drowning Prevention.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, talent on Thursday and evening wear/active wear on Friday.

• Miss Diamond Lakes Outstanding Teen, Aubrey Reed of Russellville, the 14-year-old daughter of Michael and Paula Swindle, will present a jazz dance for her talent, and her platform is “Bullying Prevention and Intervention.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, talent on Thursday and evening wear/active wear on Friday.

• Miss Frisco Springs Outstanding Teen, Kavanaugh Millirons of Conway, the 15-year-old daughter of Ross and Tina Millirons, will present a vocal selection for her talent, and her platform is “Water Safety: Simple Steps Save Lives.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, evening wear/active wear on Thursday and talent on Friday.

• Miss Lake Dardanelle Outstanding Teen, Paden Cook of Lamar, the 15-year-old daughter of Bobby and Jeanna Cook, will present a piano/vocal selection for her talent, and her platform is “The Unity of Community.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, talent on Thursday and evening wear/active wear on Friday.

• Miss Petit Jean Valley Outstanding Teen, Kelli Collins of Dardanelle, the 16-year-old daughter of Jackie and Debera Collins, will present a vocal selection for her talent, and her platform is “Jeans for Teens.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, talent on Thursday and evening wear/active wear on Friday.

• Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas Outstanding Teen, Carleigh Joy Tackett of Danville, the 15-year-old daughter of Butch and Toni Tackett, will present a tap dance for her talent, and her platform ins “Digital Citizenship: It’s Our Responsibility.”

She will compete in interview on Wednesday, talent on Thursday and evening wear/active wear on Friday
