Tea Party rejoicing at Cantor's defeat

By The Associated Press

This article was published June 11, 2014 at 9:05 a.m.

WASHINGTON — Republican Tea Party forces are rejoicing and the party establishment is somber or altogether silent in the wake of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's primary defeat at the hands of political neophyte David Brat, an unflinching foe of loosening immigration laws.

Speaker John Boehner praised Cantor as "a good friend and a great leader, and someone I've come to rely upon on a daily basis" in a statement that steered clear of the issue that Brat put at the center of his campaign and has divided the party for years.

Oregon Rep. Greg Walden, the head of the House GOP campaign committee, said Cantor has "been a steadfast leader for our party, and a great friend and mentor for so many House Republicans."

Neither man took note of Brat's victory. And party Chairman Reince Priebus, who has spoken of the need to broaden the party's appeal, offered no comment after Cantor's loss at the hands of an underfunded challenger who warned the seven-term incumbent would line up for amnesty for immigrants in the country illegally.

Cantor himself conceded defeat, telling downcast supporters, "Obviously we came up short."

This is great news! The further Right the Baggers drag the GOP, the sooner the party becomes nothing more than a footnote in tomorrow's history textbooks.

It certainly is Great News!! The Repubs should be mindful that their base does not support leftist ideologies and if you stray towards them, you'll be ousted. Most political pundits agree that voters are waking up to the train-wreck that is progressive liberalism and are predicting large gains for Repubs, Liberatarians, and Tea Partiers. The only question is How Big will the victory be. Will the senate change hands? I certainly hope so.

Too bad the abomination known as Obamanation will continue to be the gift that keeps giving to the right for the blind folks like googoo clusterf***. I am amazed at how incompetent he actually is; I'm not sure he and Bush could combine their IQ's to equal a radio station number.

The choice is simple: Do you want to live as a free American under a Constitutional Republic or as an indentured serf under a Fascist state run by Obama and the Democrats? The sleeping giant has been awakened. The ousting of the RHINO Cantor is just the beginning. Come November the electorate will decide the fate of our country and then the Democratic party may be "nothing more than a footnote in tomorrow's history textbooks."

Actually the funny thing is it's people like you, goo, that are the exact reason nothing will ever change. Blind faith in a letter behind a candidate's name to determine who will capture your vote. Both parties are full of morons like you who would vote for Charles Manson as long as he was a D or R. Heck the Democrats are fielding such great candidates that they voted None of the Above as their nominee for governor of Nevada.

So, goo, you want one single party in power with no opposition? Let's see, I think we can easily book you a flight to somewhere that has existed for a long time....

Outinthesticks, where did I say that?

If you can't make a point without putting words in other people's mouths, maybe you don't have much of a point.

And if that's salvation, GrammaRaper, I'll have none of it.
