MovieStyle: Second helpings

Sequels are the bane of summer moviegoers — remember The Hangover Part II?

But if we've learned anything over the years its that Hollywood is a very conservative business, and if you like something you can count on getting it again. And again.

And so this week, our Dan Lybarger and Piers Marchant consider, respectively, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and 22 Jump Street (the sequel to 21 Jump Street, which was itself a comic re-imagining of the ’80s TV show). What they find might surprise you.

On the arthouse beat. Philip Martin reviews John Turturro's Fading Gigolo and Young and Beautiful, a riff on Belle de Jour from Francois Ozon.

And there's also The Immigrant, which has been getting sensational reviews elsewhere. Not to mention, Karen Martin's weekly take on recently released DVDs. And on our blood, dirt & angels site, we've got the down low on Gia Coppola's Palo Alto, based on stories by James Franco.
