Asher Avenue work topic of meeting

Little Rock officials plan to hold a public meeting Thursday to discuss plans for road improvements on Asher Avenue.

The improvements will consist of replacing open ditches along Asher with curb, gutter and underground drainage systems from Oak Street to Woodrow Street, the city said.

City engineers will be on hand to discuss the project and receive input starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Willie Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center, 3805 W. 12th St.

Perhaps we should use this opportunity to tell the city NO ROUNDABOUTS on University, since one of those awful things is supposed to go at Asher & University???!!!???
