Elsewhere in entertainment and the arts: Irish band

Michigan-based Traditional Irish band Finvarra’s Wren - Jim Perkins, guitar; Cheryl Burns, mountain dulcimer and bodhran; Asher Perkins, button accordion and concertina; and his sister, Alison Perkins, vocals, fiddle and tin whistle - will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dugan’s Pub, 401 E. Booty Band

Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, a five-piece “funkadelic” ensemble from Asheville, N.C., touring in support of its October release, Onward!, performs an all-ages show at 10:30 p.m. today at Juanita’s Cafe and Bar, 614 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. Tin Roof tales

Little Rock painter Stephen Cefalo will be the featured storyteller for a Tales From the South Tin Roof Project, 7 p.m. today at Starving Artist Cafe, 411 Main St., in North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner, drinks and music by the Salty Dogs until 6:30.

The show will be taped for radio broadcast, airing at 7 p.m. March 13 on KUAR-FM, 89.1, in central Arkansas. Tickets are $7.50 plus the cost of dinner and drinks. Seating is very limited. Buy tickets online at talesfromthesouth.com.

Dinosaur tour

Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live will take participants on a tour through prehistoric Australia, 6:30 p.m. today at East Arkansas Community College Fine Arts Center, 1700 Newcastle Road, Forrest City. Searcy auditions

Performing Arts Center on the Square, 219 W. Arch St., Searcy, will hold auditions at 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday for A Bull in a China Shop by C.B. Gilford.

Director Patrick Reilly will be casting six women, ages 35-80; one woman 25-35; two men, ages 25-35; and three men 18-30. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Production dates are May 16-17, 22-24, 30-31 and June 1. Call (501) 368-0111.
