LAURA FRANCES DUNN HARRISON, 88, of North Little Rock left this earthly life while attended by her family at her home on March 4, 2014. Frances (Fran) was an outstanding mother, aunt and friend whose capacity for love, compassion and acceptance knew no bounds. She was born in Bearden, Ark., graduated high school in Camden, Ark., then got married and started her family. Along with being a wife and mother, Frances worked in the banking industry, first in Fayetteville and later in Little Rock for many years.

Frances was predeceased by her parents, Laura and Neal Dunn; her siblings, Leonard Dunn, Farrell Dunn and Floy Anderson; her sister of the heart Pat Sidebottom; her former husband Dr. Vale Harrison; and by her beloved son Paul Harrison. Her passing will leave a void that cannot be completely filled, but the joy of her memory and what she meant to so many will help comfort those she left behind.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Arkansas Hospice and Patsy at Parkstone Place for their loving care and attention to Mom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72201.

•–––––LONOKE — Sherrie Elaine Snapp Dozier Bosworth was born on November 5, 1948, and passed away on March 2, 2014 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after a courageous battle with cancer that began in 1998. Sherrie was born and raised in Branson, Missouri. She graduated from Branson High School and moved to Arkansas to attend college.

She married Ronald Dozier in 1967 and started her family. In 1977, after she was widowed, Sherrie became active in politics in the 1970s and helped to advocate for the passage of legislation that reformed and modernized survivor’s benefits for firemen and police officers. In 1978, Sherrie married Hugh Bosworth. Sherrie became active in Friendship International in the 1970s, a program ministering to international residents living in central Arkansas. Sherrie obtained her CDL in order to transport people from the area to the ministry in Little Rock, transporting as many as 35 people each Thursday. She worked with Friendship International until her illness prevented her from continuing.

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Sherrie was a member of Lonoke Baptist Church, Women’s Mission Union, Kiwanis Club of Cabot, as well as the chairman of the Arkansas Women’s Commission.
