No campaign cash flows for 1 hopeful

State Rep. Debra Hobbs, R-Rogers, reported no new contributions for her bid for lieutenant governor in February, according to a campaign-finance report filed this week.

Hobbs said her campaign treasurer inadvertently filed the previous month’s report with the secretary of state’s office Monday, but submitted the correct paperwork after spotting the error.

Hobbs reported spending $22,154 during the reporting period, increasing her total expenditures to $55,831. Her total contributions remained at $18,473 and loans at $75,000, leaving $9,873 in the bank.

Hobbs is facing U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin, R-Ark., and state Rep. Andy Mayberry, R-East End, in the Republican primary.

In reports filed Monday, Griffin reported raising $203,549 with $182,693 in cash on hand and Mayberry reported contributions of $1,575 with $150 on hand.

Democratic candidate John Burkhalter of Little Rock reported raising $34,795 with $432,537 on hand.
