FAYETTEVILLE - Marilyn and Jack Sluder will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. April 6 at Greenland Activity Center, Greenland. The couple were married April 4, 1964. She is the former Marilyn Wood and is retired from Dillard’s, where she did alterations. He is retired and formerly worked for Transplace in Emerson. They are the parents of Timothy Sluder of Farmington and Sarah Swearengin of Fayetteville. The couple have three grandchildren.
EL PASO - Pauline and Hicks Blasingame will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. The couple were married April 9, 1944. She is the former Pauline Cottrell and is retired from the Houston Independent School District. He is retired from Circle 21 Farm. They are the parents of Patricia Thompson of Clemmons, N.C. The couple have two grandchildren.
