Benton police on Monday arrested a man who is accused of kidnapping a woman and holding her at knifepoint.

Benton Police Department Lt. Kevin Russell said officers responded to a disturbance call at Fifth Street in Benton about 8:30 a.m. Friday. Two victims on the scene told police a man kidnapped one of them and caused physical harm to both of them.

The female victim said that David Ogden, 30, kidnapped her and held her at knifepoint for several hours, refusing to let her call for help and made threats to harm her, Russell said.

A male victim who came to check on the woman was confronted by Ogden and received minor physical injuries as a result, according to police.

Ogden left the scene on the first call, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. Officers located Ogden on Monday.

Ogden is charged with kidnapping, aggravated residential burglary, second-degree domestic battery, aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, third-degree domestic battery and interference with emergency communications, according to Russell.

Police said Ogden was already on the most wanted list for other warrant charges, and with the investigation being ongoing, he could face additional charges.
