The Arkansas Travelers have extended the team's affiliation with the Los Angeles Angels through 2016.

The Travelers are the Double-A affiliate of the Angels and have been affiliated with the team since 2001. Angels General Manager Jerry Dipoto and Travelers team president Russ Meeks made the announcement Wednesday.

The teams say 13 members of the Angels' current roster played for the Travelers at some point.

The Travelers are the Angels' second-highest affiliate, behind Triple-A Salt Lake.
