Crews testing the pavement on U.S. 64 in Crittenden County will require lane closures next week, state highway officials said Friday.
The work, which is part of a proposed project to widen the highway, will extend from the Cross County line to Arkansas 147, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said. Crews will reduce traffic to a single lane through alternating closures of the eastbound and westbound lanes and shoulders, according to a statement.
The closures will run from Tuesday through next Friday, weather permitting, and drivers will be alerted with cones and flaggers, the department said.
