Cameron Clark Thompson

Arrested in Pulaski County, AR on May 28, 2014

A Pulaski County man was arrested Wednesday after he allowed outside a dog that then attacked a parole officer, authorities said.

Cameron Thompson was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, third-degree battery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a Pulaski County sheriff's office arrest report, officers went to a residence in the 700 block of East Maddox Road outside Jacksonville to investigate a narcotics complaint.

Police wrote that Thompson opened the front door, saw authorities approaching, closed it and then "reopened it allowing 3 dogs to exit the residence."

In a separate incident report, police said one of the dogs, a white pit bull, approached a parole officer "in an aggressive manor," bared its teeth and lunged at him, causing minor injuries. Another officer fired twice, killing the dog, police added.

Thompson was then arrested. According to the arrest report, a pipe was found in his pocket.

Thompson was no longer listed as an inmate at the Pulaski County jail late Thursday morning.

Too bad the officer couldn't have fired twice killing the loser that sent his dog to certain death.

You don't know him. Bad choices don't make a bad person.
