Thursday

The Cadillac Three — the trio of Jaren Johnston, Neil Mason and Kelby Ray — makes music that hovers somewhere between country anthem, heavy rock and Southern folk. On tour from their home base in Nashville, Tennessee, The Cadillac Three take the stage at Rev Room for an 8:30 p.m. show with local opener Stephen Neeper & The Wild Hearts. The 18-and-up show is $12 in advance and $15 day of show.

Local indie-pop band Knox Hamilton’s third album, The Great Hall EP, released in 2013, and its single “Work It Out” soared to popularity, thanks to Spotify and SiriusXM. Knox Hamilton plays a hometown show at Juanita’s as part of the band’s first headlining tour. Doors open at 7 p.m., and music starts at 8 p.m. Cover is $10.

Although Thollem McDonas has a long history with the piano — he has released 41 albums to date, drawing on jazz and classical influences — his journey into the electric sphere is recent. Different drummers join McDonas on his tours, and Daniel Olah makes the trip to White Water Tavern with McDonas this round for Thollem Electric’s Keyngdrum Overdrive with Daniel Olah. The music starts at 9:30 p.m.

Friday

Arkansas Sounds presents one of the state’s most well-known hip-hop artists, Big Piph (the emcee formerly known as Epiphany) and Tomorrow Maybe (a full band including jazz guitarists and female vocals) in a show at Ron Robinson Theater. General admission tickets are $15, and the music starts at 7 p.m.

KABF 88.3 FM presents a release party for the radio issue of Arkansas-focused arts magazine The Idle Class at Vino’s. The night includes live music from dreamy, indie-pop band Whale Fire, indie art rock and folk-electronic band The Hacking and Move Orchestra, an electronic group made up of four brothers. In addition to music, there will be live readings from Kara Bibb, Sulac, Amy Pannell, Keith Glason and more. Admission is a $3 suggested donation. The event starts at 7 p.m.

Saturday

100.3 The Edge presents hardrockers Sevendust, performing songs from their acoustic release, Time Travelers & Bonfires, at Rev Room. The Atlanta quintet of Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, Morgan Rose, John Connolly and Vince Hornsby takes the stage after metal band A.Z. The all-ages show is $22 in advance and $25 day of show, and the music starts at 9 p.m.

Known by most as the wedding singer in 2003’s Old School, Dan Finnerty brings his comedic performance to Juanita’s with The Dan Band. The band has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Tonight Show, as well as other Todd Phillips movies, including Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover. The 18-and-up show is $20. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the music starts at 9 p.m.
