Police: 2 sought in Russellville shooting

Russellville police are searching for two men accused of shooting a woman Wednesday night, officials say.

Officers responded about 10 p.m. to the 1800 block of West Main Street, where they found a female victim in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound, Russellville Police Department spokesman Drew Latch said.

The victim, who wasn't identified Thursday, was transported to Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center and was in the intensive care unit as of noon, Latch said.

After an investigation, officers found that the shooting occurred in the 1100 block of South Houston Avenue.

Police are searching for Dameion Williams, 32, and Zachary Stokes, 23, as suspects in the case.

Both men are described as 6-foot-tall black men with brown eyes. Stokes has several tattoos on his face and neck. Both men should be considered armed and dangerous.
