THE SKINNY: The last time I wrote about Sensible Portion's Garden Veggie Straws, in 2010, I admitted I ate less than a sensible portion of the green, yellow and orange crisps made of ingredients like potato flour, tomato puree and spinach powder.
"The crunchy, airy snacks with the consistency of packing peanuts are much tastier than we thought -- actually too tasty. We found ourselves in the old potato chip commercial predicament: Couldn't eat just one ... serving."
But lately we've found sensibly portioned Sensible Portion Garden Veggie Straws -- in Sea Salt and Zesty Ranch flavors -- at Wal-Mart stores (including the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, 2510 Cantrell Road, Little Rock, on a random endcap near the pillows). They're sold in giant boxes of six portion-controlled bags.
So much for sensible packaging, however.
