3 guitarists serve Finger Food; Green Seed at White Water

Finger Food
Finger Food

Opportunities to hear guitars without vocals are few and far between these days, but Finger Food is around to provide a steady diet strumming -- with no humming -- at 8 p.m. today at The Afterthought.

Admission is $8.

Steve Davison, Danny Dozier and Micky Rigby are the members of Finger Food, who will perform "in the round," and on various custom-built or historic instruments. The three guitarists will trade songs and stories and describe their folk, jazz, Celtic, classical and blues influences.

Davison, a Little Rock musician who also tours the country with Ken Bonfield in a show known as Artistry of the Guitar, won the 2005 Arkansas Acoustic Music Festival competition in the solo category and has been featured on the AETN Presents TV series.

Dozier, a Batesville native, performs at the Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View and has twice won the Merle Travis Fingerstyle Guitar Championship at the center. Rigby, a Little Rock guitarist, was a runner-up at the Merle Travis competition and performed at the now-defunct Acoustic Sounds Cafe in Little Rock.
