Two face charges in scuffle at store

Two women were arrested Thursday, accused of attacking a security guard who said they were shoplifting at a Little Rock clothing store.

Altogether, four women were confronted by the guard at Gordmans, 2616 S. Shackleford Road. A police report states that while attacking the guard, one of the women yelled that they should run over her. Police reported that the guard suffered minor injuries.

Christion Foreman, 17, was arrested about 4:16 p.m. at 10800 Kanis Road. She was charged as an adult with aggravated robbery and theft of property. Foreman was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Thursday.

Chazemene Johnson, 19, surrendered to police about 3:40 p.m. She also was charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. Johnson was being held in the jail with bail set at $5,000.

It was not known whether any other arrests had been made.

When the incident occurred was unclear. The store has been robbed five times this year, most recently on Sept. 12, according to police reports. Gordmans security guards reported being attacked in three of those robberies.

Officer hurt by car; woman, 52, charged

A Benton woman is accused of hitting a Shannon Hills police officer with her car Wednesday afternoon after he approached her over "a narcotics complaint between her vehicle and another," according to a Little Rock police report.

Tamela Henthorne, 52, tried to leave the scene as the officer told her to stop, the report states.

She then "struck [him] with her vehicle causing minor injury to his left knee," the report states.

Henthorne was charged with second-degree battery, a felony, police said.

She was not listed on the Pulaski County jail's roster Thursday afternoon.

Report says speeder had meth, cash wad

Pulaski County sheriff's deputies stopped a man driving more than 100 mph and found a kilogram of methamphetamine in his vehicle Thursday in North Little Rock, according to an arrest report.

Deputies also reported finding $2,440 in cash and digital scales when they stopped the driver about 6:51 p.m. at U.S. 70 and Interstate 40. They searched the vehicle after the driver, Todd Seger, told deputies that there might be a marijuana joint inside, according to the report.

Seger, 44, was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, running a stop sign, driving on a suspended license, trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Thursday.
