Police seek help in identifying body pulled from Arkansas River

A body pulled from the Arkansas River last week still hasn't been identified, and police are now asking for the public's help.

The body of a Hispanic man who stood about 5-foot-6 and weighed about 160 pounds was recovered from the river near Maumelle on Sept. 10.

The Pulaski County sheriff's office issued a statement Friday seeking assistance in identifying the man.

"If anyone has any information about this subject or [a] Hispanic Male that has not been seen or heard from recently, please contact" authorities at (501) 340-6940, detective Jeff Allison wrote.

The man reportedly had a small skin mole under his chin and was wearing a pair of black shorts.

The sheriff's office said there was no sign of injury to the man or "immediate signs of foul play."
