Rutledge announces intern program

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge has announced an intern program for college students.

Rutledge said the program is for students looking to learn more about a career in government and public service. She said the program will encourage students to pursue careers in public service and to help students who are not in law school or interested in law school. Some internships may also qualify for college credit.

Departments involved in the program include: Civil, Communications, Community Engagement, Criminal, Finance, Information Technology, Medicaid Fraud Control, Opinions and Public Protection.

The deadline to apply for the summer session that runs from June 1 to Aug. 7 is May 1. The deadline to apply for the fall session that runs from Sept. 1 to Dec. 11 is July 1.
