KeVaughn Allen made it official Wednesday afternoon.

Allen, a 6-3 guard who led North Little Rock to three consecutive Class 7A state basketball titles, one of which was vacated by the school, signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Florida.

Allen announced last spring that he would attend Florida, but he opted not to sign during the early signing period in the fall. On Wednesday, he made it official by signing during a private ceremony with family and his high school teammates at the North Little Rock arena.

North Little Rock finished 25-5 this season, defeating Bentonville in the state championship game. Allen was the MVP of the 7A state tournament and averaged 25.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.1 steals a game during the season.

As a junior, Allen averaged 21.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.7 steals a game.

Allen also was the MVP of the 2013 Class 7A state tournament. He was selected as the Arkansas Democrat Gazette's Sophomore of the Year in 2013 and the Player of the Year by the Democrat-Gazette in 2014. He was the Gatorade Player of the Year from Arkansas in both 2014 and 2015.

North Little Rock is a combined 79-8 in the last three seasons.
