I-630 work to close lanes next week

Improvements to Interstate 630 will require lane closures next week in Little Rock, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.

Crews installing overhead sign structures on I-630 West between the Baptist Health exit and the I-430 North ramp will reduce I-630 traffic to only the outside lane between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, highway officials said.

Traffic may be stopped intermittently during the installation, the department said.

Barrels and warning signs will be in place to control traffic, highway officials added.

Crews will also remove a temporary barrier wall, which will require closing the inside I-630 lane westbound from Baptist Health to Shackleford Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through April 24, weather permitting, the department said.
