Floy Claire Wetzel became the bride of Austin Cory Laney at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, in the open-air chapel at Camp Mitchell on Petit Jean Mountain in Morrilton. Dale Carter officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mary and Frederick S. Wetzel, 1 Redcoat Lane. Her grandparents are the late Floy and Dr. Frederick S. Wetzel of Tulsa and the late Lucie and John I. Davis of Little Rock.

Parents of the groom are Debbie Laney of Greenville, Miss., and Sheila and Ken Laney of Bentonia, Miss. He is the grandson of the late Easter and Wilson Nerren and the late Juanita and Preston Laney, all of Greenville.

Ferns decorated the chapel entrance and white pillar candles and vases of gypsophila and floating candles decorated the altar. Music was by saxophonist Dave Williams and guitarist Matt Stone.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a candlelight-white fitted strapless satin gown. The ruched bodice had a sweetheart neckline and the full skirt extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and alstroemeria, lisianthus, gypsophila and seeded eucalyptus.

Matron of honor was Lucie Minor of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Maruka Reecer of Little Rock; Megan Hart of Elgin, Okla.;. Anne Carter of Monument, Colo.; and Katherine Wetzel of Bentonville.

They wore pink A-line strapless chiffon gowns with pleated bodices and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Matt Pringle of Hattiesburg, Miss., was best man. Groomsmen were Noland Howard of Sidon, Miss.; C.G. Davis of Greenville; Jon Borgognoni of Naples, Fla.; and Will Scott of Madison, Miss. Guests were seated by Luke Wetzel of Bentonville, brother of the bride, and Andrew Laney of Southaven, Miss., brother of the groom.

A reception at the camp's Keller Hall followed the ceremony. Tables were decorated with white burlap table runners and centered with candles and cylinder and bowl vases filled with pink and white arrangements of roses, alstroemeria, hydrangeas, gypsophila and seeded eucalyptus. Music was by Big John Miller Band.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Lyon College in Batesville and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a research administrator for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Houston.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance and financial planning from Mississippi State University in Starkville. He is an operations manager at the Texas and Oklahoma Service Centers with Crawford and Co.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Houston.
