Hogs even series with six-run rally

Arkansas scored five runs with two outs in the eighth inning and rallied to beat No. 1 Texas A&M 9-8 Sunday in a continuation of a game that was suspended because of thunderstorms Saturday night.

Joe Serrano had a three-run triple to pull the Razorbacks within one run, Andrew Benintendi tied the game with a single and Chad Spanberger gave Arkansas the lead with a single in the top of the eighth. The Aggies led 8-3 when the game resumed in the top of the seventh inning.

Texas A&M (34-4, 13-4 SEC) put two runners on base in the bottom of the ninth, but James Teague struck out Logan Nottebrook to end the game. Teague had been down 3-0 in the at-bat.

Arkansas (23-17, 8-9 SEC) evened the series with the win. The teams will play the final game Sunday at 3:05 p.m.
