Past and present trustees meet at Anthony School

Since its founding in 1944, The Anthony School has grown from just one kindergarten class to a new campus in 1967 with several expansions and renovations since. The school's population has also grown, with 400 students now, from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.

Members of the board of trustees -- past and present -- were invited back to the campus for a reception on April 10 titled "Anthony School: Then and Now" to see what's new.

Guests enjoyed a buffet of finger foods as they mingled. The choice foods were provided by the school's chef, Paul Novicky, and included crabcakes, meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, fresh fruit, cheeses and chocolate cake.

Sharon Morgan, head of school, noted that she witnessed a lot of hugs and handshakes as former board members reunited. Current board President Don Cole thanked the group for the contributions through the years. Before the guests broke up into small groups for a tour, Cole told them, "You are going to be amazed at what you see."
