Arkansans’ social-media pleas were heard, and heavy metal band Motley Crue will bring its final tour to North Little Rock on Oct. 8.

The band will bring along special guest shock rocker Alice Cooper for its 7 p.m. show, Verizon Arena said in a statement.

Motley Crue plans to make its last stop on its All Bad Things Must Come To An End tour Dec. 31 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, where the band’s career began, music promoter Live Nation said.

Leading up to Tuesday’s announcement of new tour dates, including in North Little Rock; Lincoln, Neb.; and Calgary, Alberta, the band let its fans lobby for concerts in their area using the social-media hashtag #DemandtheCrue.

“The demand to add more shows in North America has been overwhelming,” Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx said in a statement. “The fans have spoken so we’ve been trying to find time for more dates in addition to the international dates on the schedule this year. We want to say goodbye to as many fans as possible so we added these shows around the holidays. No better way to spend them than with the people who have supported us over all these years.”

Tickets, which go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com and (800) 745-3000, are priced at $38, $53, $74, $95.50 and $147.
