Police: Girlfriend's lover shot by beau
Little Rock police say a man who walked in on his girlfriend having sex with another man shot that man.
Police still were searching Saturday for 33-year-old Percy Jones, who is accused of shooting 28-year-old Jeremy Lockridge of Little Rock in the chest.
According to a police report, Jones walked in on his girlfriend, Shantia Phillips, 26, as she was having sex with Lockridge at Phillips' home at 216 Congressional Circle about 9:20 p.m. Friday. Phillips told police Jones was "very upset" and that he chased Lockridge outside. Phillips heard two gunshots before Jones returned to the house, pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her, police said.
Jones fled, and Lockridge sought help from a neighbor, police said.
Lockridge knocked on a neighbor's door and said he had been shot. The neighbor, who called police, saw Lockridge walk away from the home and fall to the ground.
Police found Lockridge near 207 Congressional Circle. He was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock with injuries that weren't life-threatening
Jones is wanted on charges of first-degree battery, aggravated assault on a family or household member, and first-degree criminal mischief.
