Authorities are investigating after two people were fatally shot Monday in North Little Rock.
A North Little Rock Police Department spokesman said in an email about 5:45 p.m. that the two victims were taken to a local hospital after they were shot a short time earlier at 18th Street and Pike Avenue.
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reporter Nikki Wentling reported on Twitter a short time later that a spokesman confirmed both victims had died.
Police were reportedly talking with witnesses. No information on a motive or possible suspects has been released.
Wentling earlier reported that police were placing evidence markers in the parking lot of the NLR Corner Store, which sits on the northeast corner of the intersection.
