The new charges against Mabelvale residents Anthony Pilkington, 34, and Destiny Walker, 21, are introduction of controlled substance into the body of another person and endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree.

Pilkington is being held at the Saline County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond. His other charges are violation of a protection order, aggravated assault, first-degree domestic battering, endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a minor in the third degree.

With the new charges, Walker's bail increased to $25,000, and she is also being held at the Saline County jail. Her other charges are permitting child abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor in the third degree.

Pilkington and Walker were arrested Aug. 3 after deputies went to a home on Jeanne Drive in Mabelvale on a disturbance with a weapon call and saw the infant with "fresh and significant burns to his neck and chest," according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
