Grammer gig

Pop singer Andy Grammer, touring on the strength of his hit "Honey I'm Good" and the recent album Magazines or Novels, headlines a show at 7 p.m. today at the Revolution Music Room, 300 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. Cover is $20. Call (501) 823-0090.

McLerran at museum

Tulsa musician Little Joe McLerran will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart Museum, 105 N. Main St., Bentonville, part of the museum's "Play It Forward -- Concerts for Our Community" series. Tickets are $5; the museum donates proceeds to nonprofits -- in this case, the Ozark Blues Society. Visit the website, tinyurl.com/concert44.

Royal auditions

Benton's Royal Players will hold auditions for Love From a Stranger, adapted by Frank Vosper from a story by Agatha Christie, at 1 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday at the Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market St., Benton. Director Frank O. Butler will cast four men and four women of various ages (no children) via cold readings from the script. Rehearsals start Aug. 29; production dates are Oct. 8-18. Have a list of any rehearsal schedule conflicts. Call (501) 315-5483; the website is theroyalplayers.com.

The players will also be holding auditions at 7 p.m. Monday and Aug. 25 at the theater for the Oct. 29 "Murder at The Masquerade Mystery Dinner," a fundraiser for Civitan Services that features an interactive play. Murder's in the Heir! by Billy St. John is sort of a theatrical version of the game Clue in which all the characters have weapon, opportunity and motive to commit the unseen murder and the audience decides by secret ballot who the killer is. Director Lisa Goodrich will cast five men and 10 women via cold readings from the script. Call (501) 249-3169 or email lisagoodrich1980@yahoo.com.
