Sinclair, Dish Network reach broadcasting agreement

Sinclair Broadcasting and Dish Network have reached an agreement in principal to carry Sinclair's TV stations, KATV-TV, Channel 7 in Little Rock, said Wednesday.

The ABC affiliate said it should be back on the air for central Arkansas viewers.

Dish said Wednesday that 129 local stations in 79 different markets went dark for its customers because of a fight with the channels’ owner, Sinclair.

Sinclair is one of the largest TV broadcasting companies in the U.S., and its channels include affiliates of ABC, CBS, CW, Fox and NBC in markets throughout the country, including KATV in Little Rock and stations in Washington D.C., Seattle/Tacoma, Minneapolis, St. Louis and Pittsburgh.

Dish said the Sinclair channels went dark for its customers on Tuesday afternoon.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
