A 40-year-old Cabot man has been arrested on charges including 30 counts of rape involving a minor, according to the Lonoke County sheriff's office.

Police announced the arrest of Kelly Brian Holcomb after he appeared in Lonoke County Circuit Court Thursday and was given $75,000 bond.

Holcomb, who was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, remained at the Lonoke County Detention Facility late Thursday morning, according to a news release.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office said Holcomb's charges involve a teenage victim. He declined to give any further information because of the sensitive nature of the case.

The news release said the sheriff's office was called to a home on Arkansas 89 on Dec. 5 in response to a reported rape and that officers arrested Holcomb on the scene.

Holcomb was discharged from parole in May, the release says.

Lonoke County court records show Holcomb plead guilty in 2010 to two charges of aggravated assault and a charge each of fleeing and driving on a suspended license.
