Lenny Kravitz, Ed Sheeran headline Memphis music fest

Lenny Kravitz, Ed Sheeran and The Avett Brothers are among the acts scheduled to perform at the Beale Street Music Festival in May.

The lineup announced Wednesday also includes Paramore, Hozier, John Fogerty, Five Finger Death Punch, Wilco, Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Cage the Elephant and Ryan Adams, the festival announced on its website.

The festival is scheduled for May 1-3 at Tom Lee Park, next to the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis.

The festival is part of the month-long Memphis in May tourist event, which also features the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest and a Salute to Poland event.

Other musical acts scheduled to perform are Rise Against, Band of Horses, St. Vincent, Breaking Benjamin, Flogging Molly, Jenny Lewis, Kaiser Chiefs and Spin Doctors.
