Memphis police are searching for a man who they say tried to kill his wife at a Goodwill store.
Officers responded about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to the thrift shop at 651 N. McLean Blvd., where they found a 35-year-old woman who had been assaulted by her husband, Marvin Kimbrell, Memphis Police Department spokesman Sgt. Karen Rudolph said in a statement.
Kimbrell, 48, entered the store armed with a knife, and stabbed and beat his wife before fleeing the scene, police said. The victim was taken to Regional One hospital in non-critical condition.
A warrant has been issued for Kimbrell’s arrest charging him with attempted first-degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
