One man was injured in an officer-involved shooting in Jonesboro Friday afternoon, authorities say.
About 3:40 p.m., drug task force officers of the Jonesboro Police Department were serving warrants at a residence when a man got into a car and attempted to run over officials, Jeff Presley, 911 director of the department, said.
Officers shot the man, whose name has not been released, and he was taken to a local hospital, Presley said.
“He’s expected to survive,” he said.
