Matisse on screen

"Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs" at New York's Museum of Modern Art, pieces from the museum and The Tate Modern Gallery in London, will be the first in a series of big-screen looks at art exhibits, 7 p.m. today at the Breckenridge Village 12 in Little Rock, the Tinseltown in Benton, the Conway Towne Center in Conway and the Razorback 16 Cinema in Fayetteville.

The 90-minute film includes a tour through and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the exhibition of Matisse's late works, on display at the New York museum through Feb. 8.

The series will also include looks at a Rembrandt exhibition from London's National Gallery and Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum on Feb. 24; an exhibition from Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum on April 14; Johannes Vermeer's Girl With a Pearl Earring and other works from the Hague's Mauritshuis on June 23; and "The Impressionists" from the Museum of Luxembourg, Paris, the National Gallery London and the Philadelphia Museum of Art on July 14.
