Much of Arkansas could see some light wintry weather Thursday morning, but the National Weather Service says accumulations aren't expected.
The agency said in a statement that light snow or flurries are possible through mid-morning across north Arkansas, while points farther south could see a mix of rain, sleet and flurries.
"If any precipitation is received, it will remain light and no travel impacts are expected," the statement said.
Two systems were producing the precipitation: one moving across southern Missouri and a second along the Gulf coast, the weather service said.
Temperatures across much of the state were already above the freezing mark at 6 a.m. The entire state is forecast to be above freezing before noon.
In Little Rock, it was 34 degrees at 6 a.m. with a forecast high of 48. The chance for a light rain-sleet mix was pegged at 20 percent.
