Missing LR woman found safe

A Little Rock woman not seen since Sunday whose disappearance prompted the issuance of a Silver Alert has been found safe.

Lauren Nikki Holcomb, 21, was located at the Women's Compassion Center in Little Rock about 7 p.m., roughly six hours after Arkansas State Police issued the alert.

The Little Rock Police Department said employees at the center recognized Holcomb from a photo released with the alert and called authorities. Lt. Sidney Allen said in an email that she "appears to be physically fine" but was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.

Holcomb, who police said is schizophrenic with the "mental capacity of a 3-year-old," hadn't been seen since Sunday afternoon, when she was walking with an unknown man near her home on Bay Street.
