Gun suspect found lying in driveway

A North Little Rock teenager fled from police Saturday and was found lying in a driveway with a gun and marijuana, according to an arrest report.

North Little Rock police responded to reports of shots fired near Greenlea Drive and Greendale Drive about 11 a.m. Officers were told a suspect -- later identified as 18-year-old Dalon Rodgers -- fled the area in a blue Honda.

Police said they spotted the car at Campbell Road and U.S. 165, and it fled north at a high speed. The car then stopped, and Rodgers fled on foot.

Rodgers crossed some railroad tracks and was found lying in the driveway at 4510 School St., police said. He had the gun, and 8 grams of marijuana, the report states. The report stated scales and about 5 more grams of marijuana were found in the Honda.

Rodgers was booked into Pulaski County jail on charges of fleeing, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, theft of property, carrying a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remained on the jail's roster late Sunday, and his bail was set at $10,000.
