Newsboys headline

During Magic Springs' "Celebrate the Word Weekend," contemporary Christian groups Sidewalk Prophets and Newsong will perform at 8 p.m. Friday and Newsboys at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Timberwood Amphitheater at the theme park, U.S. 70 East (East Grand Avenue) in Hot Springs.

City Hall 'sandwich'

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program's July "Sandwiching in History" tour, noon Friday, will visit North Little Rock City Hall, 300 Main St., North Little Rock.

St. Louis architect John L. Howard designed the Neoclassical-style structure, built in 1914-15; the city celebrates the centennial anniversary of its grand opening later this month.

Featuring watercolors

Watercolorist Caren Garner will be the featured artist for Second Friday Art Night, 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Butler Center Galleries, Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, 401 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock.
