No two-a-days for Razorbacks

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema indicated Tuesday during his trip to the ESPN “Car Wash” the Razorbacks won’t hold two-a-day sessions during fall camp, scheduled to begin on Aug. 6.

Bielema said he was confident in the team, which has one of the most veteran groups of returning players in the SEC, after winning three of its last four games last year.

“We’ve put ourselves in a position to where physically we’re ready,” Bielema said while at the ESPN campus in Bristol, Conn. “We need to be ready when the games are there.

“We play against each other every day in practice and hopefully are competing against one of the best offenses and defenses every day, and we want that season to be special. We’ve got to make sure we’re fresh when we get there.”

The Razorbacks, who were 7-6 last season and thumped Texas 31-7 in the Texas Bowl, open the season in Fayetteville on Sept. 5 against Texas-El Paso.
