Man sought in robbery, impersonation of police officer

Authorities are searching for a man who purportedly impersonated a police officer and robbed two homes last week, police say.

Police say Lamar Moore, 26, on July 14 approached a man outside a residence at 4419 Maryland Ave. with a police badge and black handgun in a holster on his waist.

He held occupants of the home at gunpoint and stole money, two Samsung tablets, a pellet gun and the cellphone and purse of a man and woman approaching the house while he was leaving, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette previously reported.

Police say Moore on Saturday also robbed a home at 1515 W. Twin Lakes Drive.

During both robberies, Moore identified himself as a police officer, Little Rock Police Department spokesman Officer Richard Hilgeman said in a statement.

Moore is described as a 5-foot-8, 160-pound black man and should be considered armed and dangerous, Hilgeman said.

Moore is wanted on four counts of aggravated robbery, four counts of theft of property and two counts of first-degree criminal impersonation.

Authorities ask anyone with information about Moore to contact Detective Chris Johnson at (501) 404-3030.
