On run for a year, LR man arrested

Little Rock police Wednesday arrested a man suspected of stealing from family and neighbors on multiple occasions over the past year.

Brandon Tyrone Holmes, 24, was charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, three counts of burglary and five counts of theft of property.

Police had been seeking Holmes since July 2014, when his mother accused him of stealing her laptop and selling it to a friend for $75, according to a police report.

Police encountered Holmes in August when he led officers on a 2-mile chase in his mother's Toyota Corolla before escaping on foot in the 1100 block of Mesa Drive, according to the police report.

In June, homes on Mesa Drive and Napa Valley Drive were burglarized, and electronics worth thousands of dollars were stolen from two acquaintances of Holmes. He lived in the area at the time and is a suspect in the break-ins, police said.

Holmes, who was last known to reside at 15000 Chenal Parkway, was being held in the Pulaski County jail late Thursday.

$143,250 in gear stolen in burglary

About $143,000 in electronics, including high-end audio speakers, were stolen from a downtown Little Rock warehouse, where the equipment was being stored during a condominium remodeling, police reported.

Officers responded to 701 Collins St. about 9 a.m. Wednesday where Ramsey Hall told police he had been contracted to remodel the residence of Hardy Winburn, 57, of 300 Third Tower in Little Rock, according to a police report. The remodeling contract stated Hall's company would store the contents of Winburn's condominium at the Collins Street warehouse until the remodeling was complete.

Hall told officers that between June 22 and Wednesday someone broke into the warehouse and took Krell speakers valued at $140,000 and televisions valued at $3,250, police reported.
