A neighbor who did not want to be identified said he was getting in his car to go to the store when he heard what sounded like a single gunshot from a small-caliber gun from inside his neighbor's house.

At the time of the gunshot, the neighbor said, five to six people were talking in the front yard, but "no ruckus was going on." After the shot went off, the neighbor said, several people, including children, ran out of the house and drove away.

The neighbor said he had never spoken to the people living in the house, but knew they were renting the home.
