Dancing in traffic, NLR man arrested

Police arrested a man Tuesday afternoon who was dancing and exposing himself to rush-hour traffic at a North Little Rock intersection, according to an arrest report.

Bobby Darion Jones, 41, of 800 W. 24th St. in North Little Rock was arrested at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday at 1600 Pike Ave., police reported. He was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Police responded to the corner of Pike Avenue and West 16th Street and observed Jones dancing with his pants down, police said. Jones was also exposing himself to rush-hour traffic.

An officer approached Jones and smelled intoxicants on his breath, police said. Jones also displayed bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was very unsteady on his feet, police said.

Jones was being held in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday evening in lieu of $300 bail.

Mom used stroller to steal, police say

A Little Rock woman was arrested Tuesday, accused of placing almost $500 worth of merchandise taken from a Park Plaza Mall store into her child's stroller, police reported.

Maria Michelle Watkins, 24, of 13405 Frazier Pike was arrested at 6000 W. Markham St. in Little Rock at 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report.

Police said Watkins took $489.40 worth of merchandise from Dillard's and placed it in her child's stroller while her two children, ages 1 and 5, were present.

Watkins was charged with theft of property and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The children were released to Watkins' father, police reported.

Watkins was being held in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday evening in lieu of a $3,000 bail.
