Color yourself a contest winner

All grown up but still like to color? The Family section has a contest for you.

Take out those colored pencils, pens or crayons and work your magic on our pastoral scene. On Page 4E.

Enter the contest to compete for a chance to have your work published in the newspaper and receive one of three prizes:

First place: One copy of The Uncolored Book for You to Color by Matt French, courtesy of Schiffer Publishing.

Second place: One set of 20 postcards by Johanna Basford titled "Secret Garden" after her best-seller, courtesy of Laurence King Publishing.

Third place: One set of "Secret Garden" notecards, also from King.

Members of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Features department will judge all entries.

A few rules:

  1. Enter as often as you wish but no photocopies, you must color the newspaper page.
  2. You must be at least 18 years of age and older and not a newspaper employee or close family member.
  3. Entries must be received by July 15.
  4. Submit your finished work by mail to: Celia Storey, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, P.O. Box 2221, Little Rock, AR 72203. You may also drop it off at the newspaper's front desk at 121 E. Capitol Ave., Little Rock.
  5. Each submission must include the colorist's name, age, telephone number and email address. Winners will be notified by email or phone. Other submissions and the contact information on them will be discarded after judging is complete.
